Wyandottemike Killer song. This whole album is great. I never was a fan of doom metal or really heavy stuff until I listened to this. All the tracks are great. I've been listening to this album for a couple weeks straight now. Favorite track: Phase Return.

Eye've been eyeing these guys since hearing their debut album 'Orbital Rights' and Eye can tell you that Wizard Eye stares you down with wizardly riffs glaring like acid fried pupils gazing upon fields of Sabbathian doom. Piercing dirge laced vocals focus intently as the psychedelic melodies duel with a twisted retro sensibility. Listen close as the evil eye of the Wizard gleams with a distorted vision of spellbinding heavy rock meets 20/20 mirage of doomy groove.

FDJ (Desert Psychlist) Raucous riff fuelled stoner grooves peppered with throat ripping vocals and driven by thunderous bass and drum rhythms. Hits like a truck and does just as much damage. Favorite track: Graybeard.

Ken Wohlrob Phenomenal live band and this album does a damn fine job of capturing what Wizard Eye does best. Bluesy, sludgy, and dense, but with a ton of groove and riffs that hook you right away. One of my favorite heavy bands on the scene these days. Favorite track: Phase Return.

Wizard Eye, a heavy psychedelic rock trio from Philadelphia, is proud to unleash its newest creation. The band has been a constant fixture on the East Coast rock music scene since its inception in 2008, and Wizard Eye’s newest self-titled vinyl release on Black Monk Records has taken its brand of mind-bending riffs and kaleidoscopic soundscapes to a new level of titanic glory. A mixture of bottom-heavy grooves, fiery fuzz, churning bass, otherworldly effects and raw vocals, "Wizard Eye" shows the band operating at the pinnacle of its creative and musical abilities. This is an album with its roots deeply set into the lysergic soil of ’70s acts like Hawkwind, Budgie, Blue Cheer, Captain Beyond, Motorhead and Black Sabbath. A long-awaited follow-up to its underground, self-released 2010 debut, "Orbital Rites," "Wizard Eye" shows the natural progression of the band’s dedication to taking dark, heavy music to new and creative areas without abandoning the ever-essential majesty of the riff.

The trio recorded "Wizard Eye" in three days at Haddon Heights, New Jersey’s Gradwell House Studios with the imminently irascible and talented Steve Poponi

The members of Wizard Eye (Mike, Erik and Dave) have put in countless hours honing their musical craft at venues throughout the mid-Atlantic region, and their music been featured and reviewed by respected websites and blogs like The Obelisk, Doommantia, The Sludgelord, No Clean Singing, Gruesome News, Decibel Magazine and Blow the Scene. The band has become a staple of the festival circuit, projecting its strength across stages for events like The Stoner Hands of Doom, Eye of the Stoned Goat, Autumn Screams Doom, Moving the Earth, Feast of Krampus, Sludgement Day and Vultures of Volume. Wizard Eye has shared stages with Wino, Black Tusk, Church of Misery, Sourvein, Sixty Watt Shaman, Karma to Burn, Pale Divine, Unorthodox, The Skull, Devil to Pay, Black Thai, Lo Pan and countless others.
